uPVC windows are all the rage in Europe, but are they suitable for the Southern Hemisphere? Won’t they degrade over time with exposure to UV radiation in New Zealand and Australia?

Basically, No. Modern uPVC is formulated specifically to withstand harsh outdoor environments including very cold and very hot conditions as well as high levels of UV radiation.

If you’re still concerned, leading manufacturers offer uPVC frames with an aluminium protective covering.
