Our house is far from airtight. It’s a typical 1950s house with tongue and groove timber floors, timber joinery and lots of gaps. I’ve installed draught proofing around the place and we’ve plugged most of the downlight ceiling holes with enclosed LED fittings.

I’d like to address the coldness and dampness and I’m thinking that a balanced ventilation system might help.

Is it worth the investment given that my house is not airtight?
